Pros and cons of Drop Wizard app for iPhone and iPad

Drop Wizard app good for

Just like Snow Bros with a great tweak to the controls. Loved every minute of this.
Drop Wizard is every bit of fun its trailer claims to be, perhaps even more. The art is beautiful, especially the backgrounds. The music is awesome; I just leave Sea Serenade Act 2s music playing in the background for as long as I need it to. (Ancient Temple 1 is good too.) I guess my only quip about the game - which btw is very entertaining and simple to pick up - is that a restart button for each individual level would have been nice. But I can see why they wouldnt add that.
Lots of fun reminiscent of classic arcade and console games with super simple controls perfect for touch screens.
The only thing that this games missing is iCloud support for game saves! (:
It has an arcade feel to it. I love the difficulty and the artwork! Money well spent!
This game reminds me of Bubble Bobble, but with different mechanics, you shoot stars when you drop to next platform and have to strategize in real time how your going to eliminate enemies from their platforms. Lots of unique enemies and bosses, never a dull experience and difficulty is just right! Get this now!

Some bad moments

Dont care for it much. Would prefer standard controls (ability to jump) instead of the current setup. Bubble Bobble it is not!
Not like classic arcade games at all. You automatically run and choose to go left or right that is all you choose to do and it is very boring. Also has elements from super crate box but way less fun, like in this game you dont attack, you only automatically shoot a star when you drop down a level and use that to get enemies. Wow.
Drop Wizard has all of the charm of the ultra cutesy arcade/console games from my childhood (Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Island, Kickle Cubicle, Adventures of Lolo), yet remains somehow incomparable and unique. It also plays as if it were made for the platform, which is an alien concept to some development teams, but not this one. I really love this game.
Maybe it was the creators intention. Be warned that the drop-fire control scheme and the character is on a forever walk left or right makes this game very frustrating. Here is how it works. You can only shoot one star when you drop to the next level in the direction your facing. So if you happen to face the other way well, tough luck. Poor control scheme choice!!!
From the video and screen shots it seemed like it was similar to Mario bros but it wasnt. You arent able to control when to fire at enemies. And you cant ever choose to stand still. Ur always moving, but u tell the character whether to move left or right. Its kind of annoying. I took a chance on this game and now I wish I hadnt...
I saw this online, and I thought Id pick it up. For the price, its a sweet game! Very charming, and a lot of polish. I like how the mechanics of auto-run and drop-shoot make the game more strategic, especially when trying to build a giant snowball combo. And the Music and art are great! Definitely worth your time, and a lot of simple, pure fun.
